Roles and permissions
The three roles in Faden IP Box: entrepreneur, accountant and administrator, and what each of them can access.
Your role decides which companies you see and whether you can manage the application.
Three roles
The role belongs to the account and is shown in the header next to your name. Editing a user does not offer a role change.
- entrepreneur: works in one workspace of their own.
- accountant: works in the workspaces they have been assigned to.
- admin: sees all companies and manages the application.
Entrepreneur
One entrepreneur account belongs to one company. After signing in it shows their workspace and everything in it: IP rights, invoices, costs and reports.
An entrepreneur can assign an accountant in Profile & Access. They cannot assign another entrepreneur or remove the account from the company.
Accountant
On the Entrepreneurs list an accountant sees only the companies they have access to. One accountant can serve many companies, and one company can have many accountants.
In an assigned company they can work like the entrepreneur, without the entrepreneur having to sign in. They can also assign another accountant, or an entrepreneur if the company has no entrepreneur account yet. Revoking access takes effect immediately.
Administrator
An administrator can access all companies, is the only one who can remove an entrepreneur account from a company, and is the only one who sees the extra items in the header. Each has its own page:
Access to workspaces
Access to a company is granted in Profile & Access: one slot for the entrepreneur account and a list of accountants. Assigning does not change the account's role.
An administrator can archive a workspace. It then becomes read-only: you can browse entries and download reports and attachments, but not make changes. An administrator can restore it.
Your own account
Every user changes their name, email and password in My account, opened by clicking your own name in the header.
