IP Box reports

Tax inputs

Source data for the report and PIT/IP annex of a chosen year: losses, Nexus, adjustments, taxpayer details and calculation rules.

Address in the app: /entrepreneurs/:entrepreneurId/tax-settings

The Company IP Box tax inputs window holds the data that invoices and expenses do not contain but the report and the PIT/IP annex need. You enter it separately for each tax year.

Saved data does not change existing reports. Generate the report again after saving.

What the window looks like

/entrepreneurs/:entrepreneurId/tax-settings
Tax inputs for the chosen year and the calculation rules.

Parts of the window

  1. Tax year

Picks the year you enter data for. Each year has its own set of data.

  2. Losses and B+R deductions

For each IP right you can enter a past loss to deduct and an additional B+R deduction.

  3. Nexus source data

For each IP right you see the recorded A–D costs and the resulting Nexus. You can switch the source from recorded expenses to totals from another ledger.

  4. Exemptions and adjustments

Only IP-specific adjustments. Open Individual adjustment amounts for the single amounts.

  5. Taxpayer details

Surname, first name and date of birth and, when expanded, the number of rights by type and optional grouping.

  6. Save

Saves all sections at once. After saving you can generate a report from the saved data.

  7. Calculation rules

Workspace-wide rules: a manual revenue share in percent or excluding an IP right. Dates can limit them.

Nexus from manually entered totals for one IP right.

Parts of the window

  1. Totals from another ledger

Four A–D category fields, the Nexus result calculated live and an evidence field. The entered totals replace the expense-derived totals for this right.

How to

  1. Choose the year

Set the Tax year. For a year other than the verified one a warning appears: the data is stored, but no PIT/IP annex is produced for it.

  2. Fill in the data for each IP right

In the losses section enter amounts for each IP right, or choose No past losses or extra B+R deductions. A blank field means unknown, not zero.

  3. Set the Nexus source

By default Nexus is calculated from recorded expenses. If you keep the A–D totals in another ledger, choose Documented cumulative A–D totals from another ledger for the IP right, enter the four amounts and the evidence. The result shows right under the fields.

  4. Add adjustments and taxpayer details

Enter the adjustments or choose No IP tax adjustments or exemptions. Taxpayer details and right counts are needed to complete the annex but do not block the financial comparison.

  5. Save and generate the report

Choose Save source tax inputs. Once data is saved, Generate report from saved inputs appears; it creates a draft and opens it.

  6. Add a calculation rule

In Source calculation rules choose the rule type and the IP right (default All IP rights). For a manual share, enter the percentage. Optionally set the From and To dates, then choose Add rule. Remove rule deletes a rule from the list.

Good to know

  • Eligible A–D costs are normally entered in Expenses, not here.

Limitations

  • Rules apply to future report generation. They do not change saved or pinned reports.
  • An exclude-IP-right rule requires an IP right.
  • When the workspace is archived, the data is read-only: you cannot save it, generate a report or change rules.
