From IP rights to the report

The steps in Faden IP Box: IP rights, invoices, costs, tax inputs, the report and the PIT/IP annex.

The report is built from data entered earlier, so the order matters.

1. Pick a workspace

Accountants and administrators pick a company on the Entrepreneurs list. An entrepreneur lands in their own workspace after signing in.

A workspace has the tabs IP Box, Invoices, Expenses, KPiR, Reports and Profile & Access.

2. Register IP rights and evidence of work

Start with IP rights. Income and costs are assigned to them.

Then open IP Box. There you keep evidence of work and assign invoices to IP rights: Set up IP Box, or Not covered by IP Box for income unrelated to IP.

3. Sort out invoices and costs

In Invoices review the income. An invoice with no IP right assigned stays outside qualified income.

In Expenses classify each cost: direct, indirect, unclassified or excluded. Unclassified and excluded costs do not count towards IP costs.

Load ledger data on the KPiR tab, in the Import KPiR section. Preview import writes nothing.

4. Fill in the tax inputs

On the Tax inputs page you enter yearly source data: nexus source data, losses, deductions and taxpayer details. Missing values stay blank; zero is a value of its own.

Tax inputs are under the Profile & Access tab, general company data is in the Business profile.

5. Generate the report

In Reports pick the year and Generate report. Details open in the IP Box report window, read-only.

Check the warnings, monthly totals and lines. Fix errors in invoices, expenses or tax inputs, then choose Regenerate from sources.

6. Download the results and pin the report

Download the report with Export XLSX. The PIT/IP annex comes from Download XLSX in the annex section.

Pin report saves a permanent read-only snapshot. Later data changes do not alter it. To keep working, use Generate new draft.
