Companies and workspaces

Entrepreneurs

The list of company workspaces: add an entrepreneur, look one up by NIP, open a workspace and (for administrators) archive it.

Address in the app: /entrepreneurs

The Entrepreneurs window shows the company workspaces you can access. An accountant sees the entrepreneurs assigned to them, an administrator sees all of them.

An accountant or administrator can add a new entrepreneur here, even without a login for that person.

What the window looks like

/entrepreneurs
The entrepreneur list with the add form.

Parts of the window

  1. Adding an entrepreneur

Form for a new company. Only the name is required; a NIP, if given, must be valid.

  2. Workspace status

Switches the list between active, archived and all workspaces. The add form is hidden in the archived view.

  3. Workspace list

Each row shows the company name, NIP, and a note when the entrepreneur has no login or the workspace is archived.

  4. Open workspace

Goes to the company workspace. For an archived one the link reads View archive.

Looking up a company by NIP in the add form.

Parts of the window

  1. NIP lookup

After a search you see the company found, its status, address, start date and data source. The name fields are filled in when the register publishes them.

Try it live

The demo runs in your browser on fictional data. Changes are kept only in this browser (localStorage).

How to

  1. Add an entrepreneur

In Add an entrepreneur enter Name (required), and optionally Business name, NIP and IP Box start date, then choose Add entrepreneur.

  2. Fill in details from the NIP

Enter the NIP and choose Search JDG (or press Enter). Name and business name are filled in when the register publishes them.

  3. Open a workspace

Click Open workspace next to the company. From there you work on its IP rights, invoices, expenses and reports.

  4. Show archived workspaces

Change Workspace status to Archived or All. Open an archived workspace with View archive.

  5. Archive or restore (administrator)

An administrator clicks Archive workspace and then Confirm archive. Restore workspace reverses it; the entrepreneur login then has to be assigned separately.

Good to know

  • An entrepreneur login is not required: you can manage the data on their behalf.

Limitations

  • An entrepreneur sees only their own workspace here and has no add form.
  • After archiving, records are read-only and the entrepreneur login is detached from the company.
  • The VAT taxpayer register publishes a single name only, so the business name field may stay empty after a lookup.
